Latino Family Services is committed to providing access to all of our
services to each member of the community.
A lack of reliable public transportation in Southwest Detroit makes it difficult for clients to make it to our offices. This is especially the case with the elderly and disabled.
Receiving a new Toyota Sienna Mobility would allow us to
assist our elderly residents with transportation to our offices and to
other social services in the surrounding area. In addition, the van will
be used to drop off weekly food baskets to housebound clients. Moreover, there are times when we are unable to pick up clothing and
food donations.
With the van, we will be able to collect donations from a
number of other sources that are currently untapped. By obtaining a
safe means of transportation for our community, as well as enhancing our
own services and outreach, Latino Family Services will become more
effective at meeting our clients' needs.

Latino Family Services will be participating in the Heart of Detroit Run/Walk, an event designed to bring runners and walkers to downtown Detroit to raise money for local non-profits.
Please consider participating on behalf of Latino Family Services.
